Yeah, I’m breaking up the campaign notes into multiple posts instead of ginormous post. Read all of it at once might be a little overwhelming for some backers. Anyway, you’ll get some insight into parts of the campaign the players never really touched on, plus my notes for what they did so I could keep track of everything.
One of our players for the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign, Ann, took great notes. GREAT notes. 13 pages worth by the end of the campaign in fact. Here’s the first four pages – in low and high contrast versions.
In this episode, we review three RPG source books: Tarlkin’s Landing from Judge’s Guild, Earthshaker from TSR, and The Nightlife RPG by Stellar Games. We also discuss the gradual merging of bad movies like Samurai Cop and the Room into a schlock singularity and the future of bad-good movies.
This is a short story I wrote years ago. It could work as a scenario seed for Call of Cthulhu, Unknown Armies, or any modern horror game.
Aaron ran a CoC scenario from The Unspeakable Oath #22 – listen to the game on Insert Quest here.
Another idea I wrote up years ago but did nothing with it. This is a continuation of the ideas I started with in Age of Masks.
Tom, Aaron, and I went up to St. Louis to catch the live Night Vale show. Before that though, we went through character creation in deadEarth. The hotel’s fridge was on for the first time, so there’s a bit of background noise. If it bothers you all, I can go back and try to remaster it but I figured you guys would want to hear the nuances of chargen in this gem of a rpg.
