Welcome to RPPR After Hours!

Hello! This website is a companion to the Role Playing Public Radio Patreon. Every month, we release new podcasts, artwork, and other content for the backers. This site indexes all of this content so it is easier to find for existing backers and allows potential backers to see what they’re missing. I have a more detailed description on the About page if you want to learn more about it.Otherwise, just browse and bookmark this site – it will be updated every time I update the Patreon (with the exception of Early Access posts, because they go to RPPR Actual Play the next day).

I made this site because in just over a year, I’ve made over 210 posts to the Patreon and I realized it may be hard or annoying to find certain content by scrolling through the page. This content is also invisible to search engines and potential backers can’t even see the show notes for our podcasts. Hopefully this makes the RPPR Patreon more accessible and useful. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the site.

RPPR After Hours: The Immortal Manther and Whisperballs

whisperballsFor our one year anniversary of the Patreon, we decided to revisit the saga of Baron von Kharkov, the vampiric man-panther (Manther for short), in the Dungeon magazine #50 adventure “Felkovic’s cat”.

BONUS AFTER HOURS EPISODE! PAX South Trip Report with Chris Farmer

pax1Chris Farmer is a veteran RPPR alumni – you might remember him as the voice of Ab3 on our original radio plays. He went to PAX South this year and had spare room in his hotel so I tagged along for the ride. After 3 fun and exhausting days of exploring the con, we sat down to talk about it. This trip was made possible by your support on Patreon, so enjoy this bonus podcast!

RPPR After Hours: Remember the Machismo

ace-agentsSpecial guest Michelle shows up to review Macho Women with Guns. Ross reviews A.C.E Agents, the premier GI Joe parody RPG. We also talk about the most macho of magazines from the 1990s, Soldier of Fortune, and more specifically, the ads at the back of the magazine. It’s like a gear chapter in a Palladium RPG! There’s also some talk about the recent hijacking of the Silent Hill wiki by a man on a quest to tell the world about the horrors of circumcision.

skynet2When the threat of global annihilation is present there is only one group to call, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. After receiving a warning from a young physicist named Quinn Mallory, the League learns that the future artificial intelligence know as Skynet is hunting down various time travelers from across the multiverse. Using new robotic agents know as “Mavericks”, Skynet has been able to carry out precision strikes across multiple timelines, leaving little evidence of its true goal. Patreon Actual Play: Call of Cthulhu – Fugitive Recovery Services

As you may know, I run online games for Patreon backers. I’ve been neglecting to post the MP3 versions of these games.  I will try to catch up this month. This is a Cthulhu game I ran back in June. It’s also available on Youtube if that works better for you. (All of the Patreon games are available on our Youtube channel.)

Original Synopsis: All of you work for Regent Bail Enforcement Services as bounty hunters. An infamous pair of fugitives, the Wrights, a married couple who have been on the run for years. Daniel was originally arrested for possession of stolen goods but after the first bounty hunter cornered them, Eliza, shot and nearly killed him. They are believed to have killed a police officer in yet another shootout. They have been on the run for 4 years but intel has put them near Kansas City. You have three leads:

  • Phone call between Daniel and ‘Tickles’ a local police informant. Computer analysis proves it is Daniel, but the KC police have not yet made Tickles available for interview.
  • Two known associates of Eliza, her brother Stephen Hurst, and Dr. Oscar Mendez have recently traveled to Kansas City. Their whereabouts are unknown.
  • Rental car from KC area reported missing – check of security camera footage reveals couple that matches the Wrights. Clerk recognized them from photos.
